Coronavirus: How To Boost The Immune System

Let’s focus on the positive.

We love preventive medicine and we want to talk about things you can do to continue to keep you and your family healthy,
right?

We get asked…

“Is there a vaccine or naturopathic cure for the coronavirus?”

At this point, there is not. You can always check the CDC website for updates on that.

But what there is…

Is prevention. So let’s jump into prevention.

We are really big proponents of boosting your immune system and luckily…

There are a lot of ways that you can do that.

So starting out just your general prevention is washing your hands, you know, getting good sleep and having really good nutrition.

Those are the fundamentals.

Doctor Anastasia would say no sugar.

Every time you have it, it’s lowering your immune system.

Next is Vitamin D. Take vitamin D and if you don’t know what your levels are, start taking a moderate dose.

Keep your vitamin D levels high. A moderate dose would be 5,000 IU and most people can get away with that without actually having high levels of vitamin D in their blood.

We really like vitamin A for upper respiratory support and we do high dosing for prevention in the cold and flu season like 10,000 IU a day.

Also zinc is really good and vitamin C.

And they are both considered antioxidants, but they’re great actually for boosting white blood cell function.

We really like we also tend to use some herbal antivirals like OSHA and Lomatium.

Olive leaf is good.

Also, we love certain mushrooms: reishi, maitake, and shiitake…you can eat them as well.

With the reishi, you’d have to cook it in a broth, but the rest many times you can just throw in a salad, which is really good.
